The Dakar Rally fascinates people all over the world. With spectators from over 190 countries, this race enjoys great attention and is known as the toughest rally in the world. In 14 race days the participants cover approximately 8000 km, around 5000 km of which are timed special stages. Amateurs typically make up about eighty percent of the participants. ROAD TO DAKAR
For most of the riders Dakar is a once in a lifetime challenge. ASO, the organisation behind the Dakar Rally is commited to safety. On the one hand, this means that they provide the fastest possible medical care on site, for example with more than 8 helicopters and a mobile hospital. On the other hand, it also means that they try to prevent accidents by carefully examining drivers before they are acepted, to ensure that they are up to the race.
In short: You have to prove that you are ready! The easiest way is to have a list of successfully completed international races. If you do not have this experience or the ASO is still unsure, you can qualify via rallies like Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge and Rally du Maroc which are also part of the world rally championship calendar.

OUR DAKAR STORY
In 2020, we went to the legendary Dakar Rally for the first time. All the years we have been a part of the 1 billion people that follow the race on television every year, and then we became a part of it.
